The Gen-Y 5" Drop 7000kg Hitch with 50mm Tow Ball is a heavy-duty adjustable hitch designed for serious towing applications where strength, versatility and reliability are essential. Manufactured in the USA from high-strength fabricated steel, this hitch provides a robust towing solution for heavy caravans, machinery trailers, horse floats and commercial equipment.
With a maximum towing capacity of 7,000kg and a maximum 900kg tongue weight, the adjustable design allows you to quickly set the correct tow ball height for different trailers, helping maintain a level towing attitude for improved stability, braking performance and weight distribution.
The Gen-Y Mega-Duty Hitch is engineered for demanding towing environments where durability is critical. Its solid steel construction is designed to withstand the high loads encountered in commercial, agricultural and recreational towing while providing the flexibility of an adjustable hitch platform.
The adjustable receiver design allows the tow ball assembly to be repositioned to suit different trailer heights, eliminating the need for multiple fixed drop hitches when towing a variety of trailers.
The 5" drop provides three selectable mounting positions, allowing the trailer to be levelled correctly for safer and more predictable towing. Maintaining a level trailer helps improve braking performance, reduces unnecessary suspension loading and promotes more even weight distribution.
This hitch is supplied with a genuine 50mm tow ball, making it suitable for trailers fitted with standard Australian 50mm ball couplings. Should your towing requirements change, the interchangeable Gen-Y platform allows compatible attachments such as a Versa-Ball, pintle lock or Australian Tongue to be fitted separately.
Manufactured from high-strength fabricated steel and finished with a durable powder coating, the hitch is built to provide years of reliable service in harsh operating conditions. Precision machining ensures accurate fitment, while the simple mechanical design makes the hitch easy to use and maintain.
Regularly inspect the hitch, tow ball, mounting hardware and hitch pins for wear or damage. Keep all moving components clean and ensure fasteners are tightened to the manufacturer's recommended specifications. Replace any worn or damaged components before towing.
Important: Always ensure the tow vehicle, receiver, trailer coupling, tow ball and every component of the towing system are rated for the intended load. The maximum towing capacity of the complete towing combination is determined by the lowest-rated component.
