The Gen-Y 5" Drop 4500kg Hitch with 50mm Tow Ball is a premium heavy-duty adjustable hitch engineered for drivers who need a strong, versatile towing solution. Designed and manufactured in the USA, this hitch combines a robust steel construction with an adjustable drop system, making it easy to tow multiple trailers while maintaining the correct coupling height.
Rated to tow up to 4,500kg with a maximum 600kg tongue weight, this hitch is ideal for caravans, camper trailers, horse floats, equipment trailers and commercial applications. The adjustable 5" drop helps keep trailers level, improving towing stability, braking performance and overall handling.
One of the biggest advantages of the Gen-Y Mega-Duty Hitch is its ability to quickly adapt to different trailers. The ball mount can be repositioned using the retaining pins, allowing the tow ball height to be adjusted without changing the entire hitch.
This makes the hitch an excellent choice for owners who tow a variety of trailers with different drawbar heights, helping maintain a level towing attitude for safer and more predictable handling.
This model is supplied with a genuine 50mm tow ball, making it suitable for trailers fitted with standard Australian 50mm ball couplings. As part of the Gen-Y interchangeable platform, the ball mount can also be replaced with compatible accessories such as a Versa-Ball, Australian Tongue or Pintle Lock if your towing requirements change.
Manufactured from high-strength fabricated steel, the Mega-Duty Hitch is designed for demanding recreational, agricultural and commercial towing. Its straightforward mechanical design provides excellent strength while remaining simple to adjust and operate.
Inspect the hitch, tow ball, retaining pins and mounting hardware before towing. Keep all components clean, lightly lubricate removable pins where required, and replace any worn or damaged parts before use.
Important: Always ensure the tow vehicle, receiver, tow ball, trailer coupling and every component of the towing system are correctly rated for the intended load. The maximum towing capacity of the complete towing combination is determined by the lowest-rated component.
