The AAV4x4 Kinetic Subframe Package is a complete, professionally installed chassis, fuel and water storage system designed for serious touring, expedition and remote-area Fuso Canter FGB71 builds.
Suitable for both single-cab and dual-cab vehicles, the package combines an AAV4x4 kinetic subframe with a 200-litre auxiliary diesel tank and a 230-litre water tank. The complete system is installed in-house at our Brendale workshop, including the tanks, pumps, plumbing, electrical controls, level monitoring and mounting hardware.
This is the same proven subframe platform used across all AAV4x4 motorhome builds and more than 50% of our vehicle conversions. It is designed to allow the truck chassis to articulate beneath the tray, canopy or motorhome body while helping isolate the body structure from chassis twist.
The kinetic subframe is designed to support a tray, canopy or motorhome body while allowing the Fuso chassis to move and flex beneath it. Kinetic spring mounts manage chassis articulation and reduce the amount of twisting force transferred into the body structure.
This helps protect the tray or canopy from structural fatigue, cracking and distortion when the vehicle is operated on corrugated roads, uneven tracks and other demanding terrain.
The assembly configuration shown also uses a 10-mount kinetic subframe manufactured as a fixed production assembly. AAV4x4 does not offer custom subframe length changes, as the established frame dimensions are retained for production efficiency and consistency.
The auxiliary diesel system provides an additional 200 litres of fuel capacity for long-distance touring and remote-area travel. The baffled poly tank is mounted within the subframe assembly and connected to an electrically controlled transfer system that moves fuel into the vehicle’s primary tank.
The diesel tank used in this assembly is approximately 1315mm long x 688mm wide x 360mm high.
The 230-litre water tank provides substantial onboard water storage for touring, camping and off-grid use. It is manufactured from food-grade, UV-stable poly material and is installed with a powered water delivery system and accessible rear tap.
The water tank used in this assembly is approximately 1565mm long x 688mm wide x 335mm high.
Both tanks are fitted with electrical level sensors and monitored through a single analogue gauge. A dash-mounted selector switch allows the driver to alternate between the diesel and water tank readings without requiring two separate gauges.
The package includes a dedicated electrical control system for the fuel transfer pump, water pump, level monitoring and safety functions. Wiring is installed in protective conduit with relays, fuse protection and water-resistant connections appropriate to the application.
The complete assembly includes the tank straps, brackets, plumbing supports, pump mounts and associated installation hardware required to integrate the tanks and services into the subframe.
The water tank occupies the space normally used by the original spare tyre location. The spare tyre must therefore be relocated as part of the final vehicle layout.
From corrugated outback roads to remote desert crossings, this kinetic subframe package is designed to provide the structural protection, diesel range and onboard water capacity required for demanding Australian travel.
Important: This package is supplied and fully installed by AAV4x4 at our Brendale workshop. Production subframe lengths are fixed and are not available with custom length alterations. The original spare tyre position is occupied by the water tank, so an alternative spare tyre mounting location is required.
