Take complete control of your front axle traction with a professionally fitted Harrop ELocker for your Mitsubishi Fuso Canter. This complete AAV4x4 package includes the supply and professional installation of a genuine Harrop selectable front differential locker, giving you maximum traction at the push of a button while retaining the smooth handling characteristics of a standard open differential during normal driving.
During everyday driving, the front differential functions exactly as the factory intended, allowing the left and right front wheels to rotate at different speeds for predictable steering, reduced tyre wear and normal road manners. When additional traction is required, simply press the supplied dash-mounted switch to engage the locker. The front differential instantly locks both front axles together, delivering equal drive to each front wheel for maximum available traction in mud, sand, rocky climbs, deep ruts and other challenging off-road conditions.
Unlike air-operated differential lockers, the Harrop ELocker uses a proven electromagnetic locking mechanism. There are no air compressors, air lines or pneumatic fittings to install or maintain, making it a simple, reliable and low-maintenance solution for serious touring, commercial and expedition vehicles. Powered by proven Eaton technology and engineered by Harrop in Australia, the ELocker has earned a reputation as one of the most dependable selectable locking differentials available.e
When disengaged, the Harrop ELocker behaves exactly like a conventional open differential, allowing the front wheels to rotate independently during cornering for smooth steering and predictable on-road handling.
When the locker is engaged using the dash-mounted switch, an internal electromagnetic mechanism locks the differential, ensuring both front wheels receive equal drive regardless of which wheel has traction. Once the obstacle has been negotiated, simply switch the locker off and the differential immediately returns to normal operation. For smooth engagement, Harrop recommends engaging the locker when both wheels are travelling at approximately the same speed or are stationary.
The Harrop ELocker operates on a 12V electrical system. Where required, a suitable 24V-to-12V converter is incorporated as part of the installation for vehicles equipped with a 24V electrical system.
Correct differential setup is critical to long-term reliability and performance. Installation requires specialised tools and experience to accurately set bearing preload, backlash and gear tooth contact patterns. Having your ELocker professionally fitted by AAV4x4 ensures the differential is installed, adjusted and tested correctly before your vehicle leaves the workshop.
Harrop Engineering has been designing and manufacturing premium automotive driveline components in Australia for more than 65 years. Combining Australian engineering with proven Eaton locking differential technology, the Harrop ELocker has become one of the most respected selectable locking differentials available for serious off-road use.
