Isuzu NPS Diff,Trans,Gear Breather Kit Fitted (NEW BUILD)

The AAV4X4 Diff, Transmission and Transfer Case Breather Kit is designed to protect the driveline of your Isuzu NPS by relocating the factory breather points to a higher, protected location. This significantly reduces the risk of water, mud and dust entering critical drivetrain components during off-road operation.

As differentials, the transmission and transfer case heat up during normal driving, the air inside expands and is vented through the factory breathers. When these components are suddenly cooled during creek crossings or deep water, the air contracts and can create a vacuum. If the factory breathers are submerged, contaminated water or mud can be drawn directly into the driveline oils, potentially causing premature bearing, gear and seal failure.

By extending the breather lines to a high mounting position on the vehicle, this kit allows the drivetrain to safely equalise pressure while greatly reducing the chance of contamination entering the system.

Why Fit a Breather Kit?

Factory breathers are positioned lower on the vehicle and are suitable for normal road use. During off-road driving, particularly through water crossings, these breathers can become submerged. As the hot driveline components cool rapidly, a vacuum can develop inside the housing and draw water through the factory breather.

Even a small amount of water contamination can reduce the lubricating properties of drivetrain oils, potentially leading to corrosion, accelerated wear and expensive repairs. Raising the breather outlets well above typical water crossing height dramatically reduces this risk.

Important: While a raised breather kit provides valuable protection against water, mud and dust ingress, it does not make the vehicle waterproof or increase its maximum wading depth. Always assess water crossings carefully and follow the manufacturer's operating recommendations.
