Isuzu NPS 2014+ Towbar Electrics with 7-Pin Flat Socket and ECU Interface – Fitted

This professionally fitted towbar electrical package provides a complete trailer-lighting connection for compatible Isuzu NPS 2014+ vehicles.

The system combines an Isuzu-specific plug-in wiring loom, a 24V-compatible trailer-light interface module and an Australian-style 7-pin flat trailer socket. It allows compatible trailer road lights to be integrated with the Isuzu’s electrical system without relying on a basic universal cut-and-splice wiring installation.

The vehicle loom, electronic interface and trailer socket are professionally installed, electrically connected and operationally tested by AAV4x4 at our Brendale workshop.

Key Features

  • Designed for compatible Isuzu NPS 2014+ vehicles
  • Complete fitted towbar electrical package
  • Suitable for the Isuzu’s 24V electrical system
  • Australian-style 7-pin flat trailer socket
  • Isuzu-specific plug-in light-adaptor loom
  • Plug-in, no-solder wiring arrangement
  • Electronic trailer-light ECU interface
  • Suitable for electronically monitored vehicle lighting circuits
  • Helps isolate the trailer-lighting load from the original vehicle lamp wiring
  • Securely routed and protected wiring
  • Professionally installed and tested by AAV4x4

Isuzu-Specific Plug-In Wiring Loom

The package includes a vehicle-specific light-adaptor loom designed to connect with the compatible Isuzu lighting system.

The plug-in arrangement reduces the need to cut, solder or unnecessarily modify the original vehicle wiring. This provides a cleaner, more serviceable installation than a basic universal trailer-lighting harness.

24V Trailer-Light ECU Interface

The electronic interface receives the applicable lighting signals from the Isuzu and provides corresponding outputs for the trailer socket.

This arrangement helps prevent the full trailer-lighting load from being applied directly to the vehicle’s original lamp circuits. It is particularly important on vehicles that use electronic control or monitoring of their exterior lighting.

The interface is integrated with the Isuzu’s 24V electrical system and configured to suit the completed trailer-lighting installation.

7-Pin Flat Trailer Socket

An Australian-style 7-pin flat socket provides the connection point for a compatible trailer plug.

Depending on the completed wiring configuration and connected trailer, the socket can provide connections for applicable functions including:

  • Left indicator
  • Right indicator
  • Stop lights
  • Tail and clearance lights
  • Reverse or auxiliary circuit where configured
  • Electric-brake signal where a separate brake controller is installed
  • Earth return

The final pin configuration is checked during installation and should also be confirmed against the connected trailer before use.

No-Solder Plug-In Installation

The system uses a plug-in loom rather than a universal harness requiring extensive modification of the vehicle’s original lighting circuits.

Benefits of the plug-in arrangement include:

  • Reduced alteration of factory wiring
  • Consistent vehicle-lighting signal connections
  • Cleaner cable routing
  • Easier inspection and servicing
  • Neat integration with the trailer-light interface module

Protected Wiring Installation

The trailer-wiring loom is routed and secured to help protect it from:

  • Sharp metal edges
  • Abrasion and vibration
  • Excessive heat
  • Moving vehicle components
  • Loose or unsupported cable movement

The ECU interface is mounted in a suitable protected position, while the trailer socket is located for practical access at the rear of the vehicle.

Professional Installation

This Isuzu NPS towbar electrical package is professionally fitted by AAV4x4 at our Brendale workshop. Installation includes:

  • Inspection of the existing vehicle lighting system
  • Installation of the Isuzu-specific plug-in light-adaptor loom
  • Installation of the 24V-compatible trailer-light interface module
  • Mounting the 7-pin flat trailer socket in a suitable rear position
  • Routing and securing the associated wiring
  • Protecting the loom from heat, abrasion and moving components
  • Checking electrical polarity and earth connections
  • Testing the applicable trailer-lighting outputs

Final socket position and cable routing depend on the towbar, rear body configuration and existing vehicle accessories.
