The AAV4x4 3-Inch Stainless Steel Exhaust Upgrade is a vehicle-specific rear exhaust system designed for compatible Isuzu NPS models from 2008 onwards, including AAV4x4 GX and kinetic subframe vehicle configurations.
Manufactured from 441 stainless steel, the system replaces the exhaust section after the OEM muffler with a larger 3-inch arrangement designed to provide a durable, neatly routed exhaust solution around the modified chassis and subframe layout.
The system incorporates TIG-welded joints, stainless mounting hardware, V-band connections and an upgraded exhaust mounting bracket. It is professionally installed and checked by AAV4x4 at our Brendale workshop.
The replacement exhaust section uses a 3-inch diameter to provide a larger flow path downstream of the factory muffler.
A larger exhaust section can reduce downstream restriction and provide improved exhaust-flow capacity compared with a smaller pipe, particularly when the engine is working under sustained load.
No fixed power or torque increase is claimed, as the actual result depends on the vehicle configuration and other modifications fitted.
The system is manufactured from 441 stainless steel, a stainless grade commonly suited to high-temperature exhaust applications.
Stainless construction provides a durable alternative to conventional mild-steel exhaust tubing and is well suited to touring, commercial and expedition vehicles regularly exposed to heat, moisture, road grime and changing environmental conditions.
This upgrade begins after the original Isuzu muffler.
The factory upstream exhaust arrangement remains in place, while the downstream section is replaced with the AAV4x4 3-inch stainless system.
This is particularly useful where an AAV4x4 subframe, auxiliary tank arrangement or expedition body requires a different exhaust routing solution behind the OEM exhaust components.
The system is used in AAV4x4 vehicle configurations where additional chassis-mounted equipment changes the available space beneath the truck.
Fuel tanks, water tanks, kinetic subframes and expedition-body equipment can significantly alter the packaging available for the original exhaust route. The upgraded exhaust provides a purpose-designed path through the completed vehicle layout.
Exhaust joints are TIG welded to provide clean, controlled stainless-steel fabrication throughout the system.
This fabrication method is well suited to stainless exhaust construction and allows the bends, joins and mounting points to be incorporated neatly into the finished assembly.
V-band joiners are incorporated into the exhaust system at applicable connection points.
V-band connections provide a secure clamping arrangement while also allowing exhaust sections to be separated for future access or servicing when required.
The fitted package includes an upgraded exhaust mounting bracket to support the revised exhaust position beneath the vehicle.
Correct exhaust support is important on an off-road truck, where vibration, chassis movement and repeated rough-road operation place additional loads on exhaust joints and mounting points.

This system connects after the OEM muffler and does not replace the complete factory exhaust system.
The current AAV4x4 system is specified as 441 stainless steel. Older descriptions referring to 304 stainless steel do not reflect the current product specification.
The larger 3-inch downstream exhaust can provide improved exhaust-flow capacity, but no specific power or torque increase is guaranteed or stated for this upgrade.
Final exhaust routing depends on the vehicle's subframe, tank and body configuration.
