This fitted GXO battery upgrade installs two Revolution Power RPL12-300 12V 300Ah LiFePO4 deep-cycle batteries into a compatible existing AAV4x4 three-position battery tray.
Each battery provides 300Ah of usable capacity and 3840Wh of usable stored energy. When configured together as a compatible 12V auxiliary battery bank, the two batteries provide a combined usable capacity of 600Ah and 7680Wh.
This upgrade assumes that the GXO is already fitted with the AAV4x4 three-position battery tray. One full-width folded battery tray extension is installed across all three tray positions to accommodate the longer 483mm battery geometry. The original three-position battery tray is not included with this upgrade.
The batteries, full-width tray extension and associated electrical connections are professionally fitted and operationally tested by AAV4x4 at our Brendale workshop.
The upgrade includes two Revolution Power 12V 300Ah lithium iron phosphate batteries. Each battery has a published total capacity of 375Ah and a usable capacity of 300Ah when discharged at the 20-hour rate at 25°C to the specified 10.5V test point.
The two-battery installation provides:
Actual operating time depends on the connected loads, charging conditions, temperature, wiring losses and the efficiency of any inverter or other equipment powered by the battery bank.
The RPL12-300 uses lithium iron phosphate cell chemistry for deep-cycle auxiliary energy storage. It is designed for mobile power applications including motorhomes, caravans, camper trailers, four-wheel drives, trucks and marine electrical systems.
LiFePO4 chemistry provides a relatively flat discharge curve, helping the battery maintain a stable operating voltage through much of its usable capacity.
Each battery includes an internal battery-management system that controls cell balancing and monitors charging, discharging and temperature conditions.
Published battery-management functions include:
The internal battery-management system does not replace correctly rated external fuses, battery isolation equipment or appropriately sized electrical cabling.
Each Revolution Power battery has the following published discharge ratings:
The usable output of the completed battery bank remains limited by the lowest-rated component in the electrical system, including the batteries, cables, terminals, fuses, isolators, distribution equipment, inverter and connected loads.
Each battery has a nominal charging current of 50A and a recommended charging current of no more than 60A. The published maximum charging current is 200A per battery.
The recommended charging voltage is 14.6V ± 0.2V. All existing GXO charging equipment must be compatible with LiFePO4 batteries and configured within the battery manufacturer’s voltage and current requirements.
The manufacturer lists the following cycle performance for each RPL12-300 battery:
Actual battery life depends on discharge depth, charging conditions, operating temperature, storage conditions and the overall electrical-system configuration.
The published self-discharge rate is no more than 3%. This reduces energy loss while the battery is stored or the vehicle remains unused, although the battery bank should still be inspected and charged as required during extended storage.
The Revolution Power 300Ah batteries measure 483mm long and require additional tray length compared with the batteries normally accommodated by the existing GXO three-position battery tray.
This upgrade includes one folded battery tray extension manufactured from 1.6mm material. The extension spans all three battery positions at the same time, adapting the complete tray to suit the longer battery geometry.
The extension is not an individual component for each battery position. One full-width extension modifies the complete three-position tray.
A compatible AAV4x4 three-position battery tray must already be installed in the GXO. The original battery tray is not supplied as part of this product.
Each battery has an IP65-rated enclosure and a fire-retardant ABS case. Electrical connections are made through M8 terminals.
The IP65 rating provides protection against dust ingress and water jets within the limits of the rating when the battery and terminals are correctly installed.
This GXO lithium battery upgrade is professionally fitted by AAV4x4 at our Brendale workshop. Installation includes:
Final fitment depends on the condition and configuration of the existing battery tray, available installation space and the GXO’s current electrical system.

This product includes two 300Ah Revolution Power batteries and one full-width battery tray extension. The extension spans all three positions of the existing battery tray.
A compatible AAV4x4 three-position battery tray must already be installed. The battery tray itself is not included.
No DC-DC charger, solar controller, mains charger or inverter is listed as included. Existing charging equipment must be checked and configured for compatibility with the Revolution Power LiFePO4 batteries before installation.
The completed installation provides 600Ah of combined usable battery capacity. Available auxiliary power and permitted electrical loads remain dependent on the cabling, circuit protection, charging equipment, inverter and complete GXO electrical-system design.
