The Gen-Y 7.5" Drop 7000kg Torsion-Flex Hitch with 50mm & 70mm Versa-Ball and Pintle Lock combines exceptional towing capacity, adjustable coupling height and Gen-Y's patented Torsion-Flex technology into one highly versatile towing system. Supplied with a dual-size 50mm and 70mm Versa-Ball together with a pintle lock, it allows the hitch to be used with compatible ball couplings or lunette ring applications, making it ideal for recreational, agricultural and commercial towing.
Rated for towing loads up to 7,000kg with a maximum 900kg tongue weight, the 7.5" drop hitch body provides four adjustable height positions. The internal rubber torsion system absorbs much of the harsh shock normally transferred through a rigid hitch, helping provide smoother towing while reducing stress on both the tow vehicle and trailer.
Unlike a conventional rigid hitch, the Gen-Y Torsion-Flex Hitch uses heavy-duty rubber torsion cords housed within the hitch body to absorb and dampen road shock before it is transferred between the trailer and tow vehicle.
This allows the vehicle and trailer to react more independently over corrugations, potholes and uneven road surfaces, helping produce a smoother and more controlled towing experience.
The supplied Versa-Ball incorporates both a 50mm and 70mm tow ball within a single interchangeable attachment. The ball mount can simply be rotated to place the required ball size into the towing position.
The included pintle lock fits over the Versa-Ball to create a heavy-duty pintle hitch for use with compatible lunette ring trailers. This provides outstanding versatility for operators who tow a mixture of conventional ball-coupled trailers and heavy-duty equipment fitted with lunette rings.
The 7.5" drop hitch body provides four selectable coupling-height positions, allowing the towing height to be matched to different trailers. The attachment can be repositioned quickly using the supplied hitch pins.
Maintaining a level trailer promotes improved handling, braking performance and weight distribution while reducing unnecessary stress on the towing combination.
A mechanical tongue weight scale is integrated into the hitch body, providing a convenient visual reference when setting up trailer loading. Maintaining the correct tongue weight is an important part of achieving stable and predictable towing performance.
Manufactured from heavy-duty fabricated steel, the hitch is engineered for demanding recreational, agricultural and commercial towing applications. The robust design incorporates two 1" Grade 8 pivot bolts together with precision-machined components for long service life.
The enclosed rubber torsion system contains no airbags requiring inflation and no conventional bearings requiring routine adjustment.
Inspect the hitch, Versa-Ball, pintle lock, pivot bolts and retaining pins regularly for wear, damage or excessive movement. Keep all mounting points clean and replace any worn or damaged component before towing.
Important: Always confirm that the tow vehicle, receiver, selected coupling, pintle components, trailer and all associated towing equipment are correctly rated for the intended load. The safe towing capacity of the complete combination is determined by its lowest-rated component.
