The AAV4x4 Kinetic Subframe Package is a complete, professionally installed chassis, fuel and water storage system designed for Fuso Canter FGB71 touring, expedition and remote-area builds.
Suitable for both single-cab and dual-cab vehicles, this package combines an AAV4x4 kinetic subframe with a 200-litre auxiliary diesel tank and a compact 190-litre water tank. The smaller water tank is specifically configured to retain the original spare tyre in its OEM position, avoiding the need for a separate spare wheel relocation system.
The complete assembly is installed at our Brendale workshop, including the subframe, tanks, pumps, plumbing, electrical controls, tank-level monitoring, fillers and mounting hardware.
The kinetic subframe supports the tray, canopy or motorhome body while allowing the truck chassis to articulate beneath it. Heavy-duty kinetic spring mounts help isolate the body structure from chassis twist, reducing the stress transferred into the tray or canopy when travelling over corrugations, uneven tracks and difficult terrain.
This controlled movement helps protect the body structure from fatigue, cracking and distortion while maintaining a secure mounting platform for the completed vehicle build.
The established frame dimensions are retained for production consistency and efficiency. Custom subframe length modifications are not offered by AAV4x4.
The baffled poly diesel tank provides an additional 200 litres of fuel storage for long-range travel. It is mounted within the subframe assembly to provide a practical, low-mounted installation and is connected to an electrically controlled transfer system that moves diesel into the vehicle’s primary fuel tank.
The diesel tank used in this assembly is approximately 1315mm long x 688mm wide x 360mm high.
The compact 190-litre water tank provides substantial onboard water storage while preserving the factory spare tyre position. It is manufactured from UV-stable, food-grade poly material and is installed with a powered water delivery system and an accessible external tap.
The custom water tank used in this assembly is approximately 1535mm long x 688mm wide x 335mm high.
Separate electrical level senders monitor the diesel and water tanks. Both readings are displayed through a single 52mm analogue gauge, with a dash-mounted selector switch allowing the driver to alternate between the two tanks.
The package includes a dedicated electrical control system for the fuel transfer pump, water pump, level monitoring and fuel overfill protection. Wiring is routed in protective conduit and installed with suitable relays, fuse protection and water-resistant connections.
The assembly includes the mounting straps, brackets, plumbing supports, filler mounts, pump mounts and associated hardware required to integrate the complete system into the vehicle.
The 190-litre water tank is specifically sized to preserve the Fuso’s original spare tyre location. This makes the package particularly suitable for tray and canopy builds where rear or external spare wheel mounting space is limited or already allocated to other equipment.
If AAV4x4 is not supplying the tray or canopy, the plumbing and lockable filler assemblies will be temporarily mounted for transport. Final positioning and integration can then be completed by the selected body builder.
This system is based on the same kinetic subframe design used throughout AAV4x4 motorhome and vehicle conversion projects. It is intended for demanding environments including corrugated roads, remote touring routes and long-distance off-grid travel.
Important: This package is supplied and fully installed by AAV4x4 at our Brendale workshop. Production subframe lengths are fixed and are not available with custom length alterations. The compact 190-litre water tank allows the original OEM spare tyre position to be retained.
