This complete 200-litre steel diesel fuel tank kit is designed for compatible Mitsubishi Fuso Canter FGB71 models from 2011 to 2023.
Unlike the tank-only version, this package includes the 200L steel fuel tank, a matching lockable fuel cap and the dedicated mounting kit required for the tank installation.
The heavy-duty steel tank features an OEM-style rectangular design, black powder-coated finish and internal baffling to help control fuel movement while the vehicle is accelerating, braking, cornering or travelling over uneven terrain.
The tank incorporates provision for a compatible original fuel pump and sender assembly, allowing the applicable Fuso fuel pickup and fuel-level sender arrangement to be retained where compatible.
The manufacturer specifies actual tank dimensions of approximately 1345mm long x 533mm wide x 323mm high. This is the tank commonly referred to as the nominal 1400mm-long 200L Fuso tank.
This complete kit is supplied unfitted.
This product combines the three major components required for the FGB71 tank package:
Purchasing the components together provides a matched package rather than supplying the bare tank on its own.
With a nominal capacity of 200 litres, the tank provides substantial diesel storage for vehicles used for long-distance touring, remote-area travel, commercial work and expedition applications.
Additional fuel capacity can reduce reliance on frequent refuelling stops and provide greater flexibility when travelling through areas where diesel availability may be limited.
The tank is designed for compatible Fuso Canter FGB71 vehicles within the 2011–2023 model range.
Final compatibility should still be confirmed against the individual truck, chassis layout, wheelbase, existing fuel-tank configuration and surrounding equipment before installation.
The package includes the mounting kit specifically matched to this 200-litre FGB71 tank.
This provides the tank-retention components associated with the kit rather than requiring the mounting system to be purchased separately.
The completed installation must securely support the tank and its fuel load while maintaining adequate clearance from the chassis, suspension, driveline, exhaust and other vehicle components.
A matching lockable fuel cap is included with the kit.
The lockable design provides additional security for the fuel-filler opening and helps restrict unauthorised access to the tank when the vehicle is parked or unattended.
The tank is manufactured from steel for a robust truck-grade construction suited to demanding vehicle applications.
Steel construction provides a strong enclosure for the diesel supply and is well suited to Fuso-based touring vehicles, working trucks and motorhome conversions.
A black powder-coated exterior provides additional protection to the steel tank and gives it a clean appearance when installed along or beneath the chassis.
The coating should still be periodically inspected for impact damage, corrosion or wear, particularly after travel on rough, muddy, coastal or heavily corrugated roads.
Internal baffling helps reduce uncontrolled movement of fuel inside the tank as the vehicle accelerates, brakes, corners or travels over uneven terrain.
This is particularly useful with a 200-litre truck tank, where a significant mass of diesel can otherwise move rapidly within the tank as vehicle direction and speed change.
The tank incorporates provision for a compatible OEM-style fuel pump and sender assembly.
This allows the applicable Fuso fuel pickup and fuel-level sender arrangement to be transferred or installed into the tank where compatible.
The fuel pump and sender assembly itself is not included in this kit.
A threaded drain provision is incorporated into the bottom of the tank to assist with fuel removal, maintenance and cleaning where required.
The published drain thread is M30 x 1.5.
The drain must be correctly sealed and checked carefully for leakage before the tank is placed into service.
The tank also incorporates M16 x 1.5 threaded side bung provisions.
These provide additional connection options where required by the completed fuel-system configuration. Any unused ports must remain securely sealed with suitable fuel-compatible components.
The tank can be used within a compatible replacement installation or incorporated into a correctly configured auxiliary-fuel system where sufficient chassis space is available.
Depending on the final installation, additional fuel-system components may be required, including:
The exact requirements depend on whether the tank is being used as the vehicle's primary tank, a replacement tank or an additional auxiliary fuel supply.

The manufacturer specifies an actual tank length of approximately 1345mm, despite this tank commonly being identified by its nominal 1400mm length.
This is the complete kit version and includes the tank, matching lockable fuel cap and dedicated mounting kit.
The fuel pump and sender assembly are not included.
Fuel filler plumbing, breather plumbing, fuel hose, transfer equipment, filtration and other vehicle-specific fuel-system components are not listed as included.
Confirm available chassis space, mounting arrangement, filler position, sender compatibility and clearance around surrounding vehicle components before installation.
When configured as an additional fuel tank, the complete fuel-transfer, venting, filtration and switching system must be suitable for the vehicle and intended application.
After installation, all fuel fittings, threaded ports, sender seals, drain points, filler connections and hoses must be carefully checked for leaks before filling the tank completely or operating the vehicle.
