Patented Torsion-Flex Technology

Unlike conventional rigid drop hitches, the Gen-Y Torsion-Flex Hitch incorporates heavy-duty rubber torsion cords inside the hitch body. These absorb a significant amount of the vertical shock and impact generated while towing, helping isolate both the tow vehicle and trailer from harsh road conditions.

Rather than every bump and corrugation being transferred directly through the drawbar, the hitch allows both the tow vehicle and trailer to react more independently. This creates a more composed towing experience, particularly on rough roads and long-distance journeys.

Maintenance

The Torsion-Flex Hitch is designed to require minimal maintenance. There are no airbags to inflate or bearings requiring routine servicing. During the first few hundred kilometres of towing with an appropriate trailer load, the internal rubber torsion elements naturally settle into their intended operating characteristics.
