The AAV4x4 Alloy Scrub Bar & Roof Pod Kit is a complete unfitted roof storage and cab-protection package designed specifically for the Isuzu NPS 75 / 300 Single Cab from 2008 onwards.
Combining alloy scrub bars, a functional flat roof-pod platform and an integrated wind deflector, the system adds useful roof-mounted carrying space while following the shape of the NPS Single Cab.
The roof platform measures approximately 1850mm long x 1000mm wide and has a stated 75kg static load rating. The wind deflector also incorporates provision for one compatible light bar, with internal cable-routing provisions for a cleaner electrical installation.
This is the complete kit version and is supplied unfitted, making it suitable for remote customers, tray builders, canopy manufacturers and installers completing the vehicle away from AAV4x4.
Rather than treating cab protection and roof storage as two unrelated accessories, the system combines both functions into one vehicle-specific structure.
The alloy scrub bars form the lower protective structure around the cab area, while the roof pod provides additional usable space above the cab for compatible touring or work equipment.
This makes the kit particularly useful for expedition trucks, commercial vehicles and remote-area builds where available storage space is valuable and additional equipment needs to be carried outside the cab or tray.
The roof pod incorporates a flat platform measuring approximately:
The flat platform provides a versatile base for suitable lightweight touring, commercial and expedition equipment.
Roof-mounted storage can help free up valuable space elsewhere on the truck, particularly where tray or canopy storage is already allocated to tools, fuel, water or other equipment.
Subject to the platform's load rating and correct securing, suitable applications can include:
The roof platform has a stated 75kg static load rating.
Any equipment carried on the rack should be securely restrained and distributed appropriately across the platform.
Roof-mounted equipment also contributes to the vehicle's overall mass and centre of gravity, so the completed vehicle should remain within all applicable vehicle and axle load limits.
The roof platform is designed to accommodate compatible tie-down systems and accessory mounting arrangements.
This provides useful flexibility when configuring the rack for solar equipment, touring accessories or work-related gear.
A dedicated wind deflector is incorporated across the front of the roof pod.
The deflector helps manage airflow around the leading edge of the roof structure and gives the complete assembly a cleaner, more integrated profile above the cab.
The wind-deflector section includes provision for one compatible light bar.
This gives installers a dedicated mounting location for auxiliary forward lighting without needing to fabricate a separate light-bar bracket.
A light bar is not included unless separately specified.
Cable-routing provisions are incorporated into the structure to allow wiring for compatible roof-mounted accessories to be installed more neatly.
This helps minimise exposed cabling and allows the completed system to retain a cleaner appearance.
The scrub bars and roof pod use alloy construction, providing a strong but comparatively lightweight structure for the vehicle.
Controlling weight is particularly important for roof-mounted equipment because mass positioned high on the vehicle has a greater effect on overall centre of gravity than equipment mounted lower on the chassis.
The complete structure is supplied with a powder-coated finish to provide a durable exterior suited to touring, commercial and outdoor vehicle applications.
The finished surface also gives the system a clean, integrated appearance once installed on the NPS.
This kit is designed around the Isuzu NPS Single Cab rather than being a generic universal roof rack.
The scrub bars, roof pod and wind deflector are shaped to work with the cab profile and intended mounting arrangement of the compatible NPS.
The kit is supplied ready for installation using the intended bolt-on mounting arrangement.
No cutting or custom fabrication is required for the intended vehicle application, making the kit suitable for competent vehicle builders, tray manufacturers and professional installers completing the work away from AAV4x4.
The unfitted kit format is particularly useful for customers who are building their vehicle interstate, using a separate tray or canopy manufacturer, or completing the NPS through another professional installer.
The same core system is used in AAV4x4's fitted applications, but this package is supplied as components and fitting hardware rather than installed on the vehicle.
