The AAV4x4 Isuzu NPS 75 Dual Cab Kinetic Subframe Package is a special-order touring and expedition setup combining a 290L auxiliary diesel tank with a 150L fresh-water tank on AAV4x4's proven kinetic subframe platform.
Designed specifically for the Isuzu NPS 75 Dual Cab from 2016 onwards, this configuration prioritises extended diesel range while retaining a practical onboard water supply. The water tank is positioned toward the front of the subframe, with the larger diesel tank positioned toward the rear.
The complete system is professionally installed by AAV4x4 at our Brendale workshop and includes the kinetic subframe, both tanks, fuel transfer system, 24V water pump, rear water outlet, in-cab tank monitoring, electrical loom, stainless steel retention hardware and associated plumbing.
The Isuzu NPS chassis is designed to flex as the truck travels across uneven terrain. A rigid tray, canopy or motorhome body mounted directly across the chassis can resist this movement and transfer torsional loads into the body structure.
The AAV4x4 kinetic subframe allows controlled movement between the truck chassis and the body mounted above it. The system helps accommodate normal chassis articulation while providing a stable structural foundation for a tray, canopy or expedition body.
This makes the system particularly suited to remote-area touring vehicles that regularly encounter corrugations, uneven tracks and cross-axle terrain.
The package incorporates a large 290-litre poly diesel tank to significantly increase the vehicle's available fuel storage for long-distance and remote-area travel.
The tank includes a fuel-level sender and dedicated transfer system that allows diesel to be transferred into the vehicle's OEM fuel tank as required.
This configuration is particularly useful for customers who prioritise extended fuel range and expect to travel through areas where reliable diesel supply may be widely spaced.
A 150-litre UV-stable, food-grade poly water tank provides onboard fresh-water storage for touring and off-grid use.
The compact water tank arrangement allows the larger proportion of available subframe space to be dedicated to diesel capacity while still providing a useful supply of water for the vehicle.
The water system includes a 24V electric water pump and a lockable rear-mounted tap, providing convenient access to the onboard water supply.
The rear outlet makes the water system practical for camping, touring and work applications without requiring access to the tank itself.
Fuel from the 290L auxiliary tank is transferred into the vehicle's OEM fuel tank using a dedicated electric transfer pump.
This allows the factory fuel system to remain the primary supply to the engine while the large auxiliary tank acts as additional reserve capacity for long-range travel.
Tank levels are monitored from inside the cab using a single analogue gauge with a selector switch.
The driver can select the required tank and view its level on the same gauge, reducing the amount of additional instrumentation required on the dashboard.
The fuel and water systems are integrated using a dedicated braided wiring loom with water-resistant Deutsch connectors at applicable connections.
The loom provides a neat, serviceable electrical installation suited to the demanding environment underneath an off-road touring vehicle.
The installation includes stainless steel tank straps together with the required mounting brackets, filler hardware, plumbing and associated fittings.
Both tanks are securely integrated into the subframe package as part of the completed vehicle installation.
The kinetic subframe is fully galvanised and powder coated to provide durable protection for a structure that operates continuously beneath the vehicle.
This Dual Cab configuration uses a standardised AAV4x4 base frame with the following dimensions:
Where required, the final tray or body builder may trim the applicable rear section to suit the completed body configuration while remaining within the intended installation parameters.
The kinetic subframe is designed to provide a mounting foundation for compatible trays, canopies and expedition bodies.
Integrated mounting provisions simplify body installation and allow the package to be used with an AAV4x4 build or a suitable tray and canopy supplied by another builder.
Where AAV4x4 is not supplying the final tray or canopy, the fuel and water filler piping and lockable caps can be temporarily positioned for transport.
The final filler locations can then be incorporated into the completed tray, canopy or motorhome body.
The auxiliary tank installation occupies space associated with the original spare-wheel position.
Spare-wheel relocation is therefore required and should be considered as part of the overall tray, canopy or expedition-body design.
This special-order tank and subframe configuration requires the applicable 3-inch 441 stainless steel exhaust system upgrade.
The exhaust modification is required to provide the necessary packaging arrangement around the subframe and tank installation.

This is a special-order configuration with the 150L water tank positioned toward the front and the 290L diesel tank positioned toward the rear.
The package is supplied professionally fitted by AAV4x4 at our Brendale workshop.
A compatible 3-inch 441 stainless steel exhaust upgrade is required for this tank and subframe arrangement.
Installation of the auxiliary tanks replaces the original spare-wheel position, so spare-wheel relocation is required.
Where AAV4x4 is not supplying the final tray or canopy, filler piping and lockable caps may be temporarily mounted for transport before being incorporated into the completed body.
Tray, canopy, motorhome body and spare-wheel carrier are not included unless separately specified.
