The Diff Lock performs as an open differential until you decide that you need more traction. Simply push the dash mounted button to lock or unlock the front differential when necessary. When locked the front axle captures 100% of the available torque and sending it equally to both ends of the axle giving drive to both wheels. Application of any locker should be when the wheels are turning equally or not turning at all.
Older vehicles may require replacement seals and differential oil.
