GXO 4G GPS Security Tracking & Remote Engine Immobiliser – 12/24V – Fitted

The AAV4x4 GXO GPS Security & Tracking System combines live vehicle location, trip history, configurable security alerts and remote immobilisation control in one professionally installed package for compatible 12V and 24V vehicles.

Designed with touring trucks, expedition vehicles, motorhomes and high-value work vehicles in mind, the system uses GPS positioning and 4G mobile connectivity to report vehicle information to AAV4x4's locally hosted tracking platform. Owners can access their vehicle from a compatible phone, tablet or computer to check its position, review travel history and monitor configured security events.

The fitted package also includes remote immobilisation capability, geo-fencing, movement and shock monitoring, speed alerts, low-power and external-power-disconnect alerts, together with an internal backup battery to help maintain tracking and alert functionality if the vehicle power supply is interrupted.

Live Vehicle Tracking

The tracking system gives the owner a clear map-based view of the vehicle's most recently reported position.

Depending on the information being reported by the tracker, the monitoring interface can display useful information such as:

  • Current or most recently reported location
  • GPS fix time
  • Vehicle speed
  • Address information
  • Distance information
  • Vehicle movement status

This provides a convenient way to check where the vehicle is without needing to be physically near it.

AAV4x4 Locally Hosted Tracking Platform

The GXO system is configured to communicate with an AAV4x4-managed tracking server rather than relying solely on a generic tracker interface supplied with the hardware.

The platform provides a modern web-based interface for viewing vehicle position, accessing historical information, managing security settings and sending supported commands to the tracker.

The same account can be accessed from a compatible computer or mobile device, making it practical to monitor the vehicle whether you are at home, travelling or away from the truck.

Trip & Location History

The tracking platform stores reported vehicle positions, allowing previous movement to be reviewed rather than only showing the vehicle's current location.

Historical information can be useful for:

  • Reviewing previous journeys
  • Checking where the vehicle travelled
  • Confirming approximate travel times
  • Reviewing stops and periods of movement
  • Fleet and work-vehicle record keeping
  • Investigating unexpected vehicle movement

Geo-Fencing

Geo-fences allow virtual geographical boundaries to be created around locations that are important to the vehicle owner.

These can be used to monitor when the vehicle enters or leaves a defined area. For example, a geo-fence can be configured around:

  • Your home
  • A workshop
  • A storage facility
  • A campsite
  • A work site
  • A depot or fleet yard

When the vehicle crosses a configured boundary, the tracking system can generate an event and applicable notification according to the user's notification settings.

Movement & Security Monitoring

For a vehicle left unattended, location tracking becomes substantially more useful when combined with event monitoring.

The GXO system can be configured to monitor vehicle movement and provide alerts for security-related events such as unexpected movement or vibration.

This is particularly valuable for expedition trucks and motorhomes that may be left unattended at campsites, storage facilities, workshops or remote locations while carrying significant equipment and personal belongings.

Shock / Vibration Alert

The system can detect significant shock or vibration at the tracker and generate an alert when the applicable security function is enabled.

This can provide an early indication that the vehicle has been bumped, interfered with or otherwise disturbed while unattended.

Speed Monitoring

Vehicle speed information can be reported through the tracking system and used with configured speed-limit notifications.

This can be useful for both private vehicles and fleet applications where the owner wants increased visibility of how and when the vehicle is being driven.

External Power Disconnect Alert

The tracker monitors its primary vehicle power supply and can provide a power-disconnect alert if that supply is interrupted.

This is an important security feature because disconnecting a vehicle battery is one method that may otherwise be used to disable permanently installed electronic equipment.

When vehicle power is lost, the tracker's internal backup battery provides temporary reserve operation rather than the unit immediately shutting down.

Internal Battery Backup

An internal rechargeable battery provides approximately 2–3 hours of backup operation under typical conditions if the primary vehicle power supply is disconnected.

Actual backup duration can vary depending on battery condition, mobile and GPS signal strength, reporting activity and tracker configuration.

Remote Immobilisation

The fitted package includes remote vehicle immobilisation functionality.

Through the configured tracking interface, authorised users can access dedicated immobilise and remobilise commands for the vehicle.

This adds another layer of security beyond simply knowing where the vehicle is located. If required, the immobilisation system can be activated to prevent normal vehicle starting until the system is remobilised by an authorised user.

For safety, the immobiliser is intended as a vehicle-security function and not as a method of shutting down a vehicle while it is being driven.

Remote Command Control

Supported commands can be stored within the tracking platform, allowing commonly used security functions to be selected without having to manually enter complicated device command strings.

The AAV4x4 configuration provides dedicated commands for:

  • Immobilise
  • Remobilise

Command availability depends on the tracker being powered, connected to the mobile network and able to communicate with the tracking server.

4G Mobile Connectivity

The tracker uses the mobile network to send GPS positions, status information and security events to the tracking server.

This means the system is not limited by the short range of Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Provided the tracker has suitable mobile coverage, an active SIM service and sufficient GPS reception, the vehicle can report information while located a significant distance from the owner.

SIM Card Required

A mobile SIM service is required because the tracker uses cellular data to communicate with the AAV4x4 tracking server.

The package currently includes a $5 ALDI SIM ready for activation. The SIM account, activation, ongoing credit and mobile service charges remain the customer's responsibility.

A low-use or long-expiry prepaid mobile plan can be a practical option because GPS tracking normally requires relatively small amounts of mobile data. Plan pricing and inclusions are controlled by the mobile provider and may change over time.

12V & 24V Vehicle Compatible

The tracker is suitable for integration into compatible 12V and 24V vehicle electrical systems, making it particularly useful across a wide range of AAV4x4 vehicle platforms.

Typical applications include:

  • Fuso Canter 4x4 trucks
  • Isuzu NPS and N-Series trucks
  • GXO expedition vehicles
  • Truck-based motorhomes
  • Touring 4WDs
  • Commercial vehicles
  • Service and fleet vehicles
  • High-value specialist vehicles

Ideal for Expedition Vehicles

A completed expedition truck or motorhome can represent a substantial investment and often contains valuable electrical equipment, tools, recovery gear and personal belongings.

GPS tracking provides another layer of protection by allowing owners to maintain visibility of the vehicle even when they are not physically with it.

The combination of tracking, historical reporting, geo-fencing, security alerts and remote immobilisation makes this system particularly well suited to vehicles used for long-distance and remote-area travel.

Important Notes

An active mobile SIM account with sufficient credit or service is required for remote tracking and communication. If the SIM service expires, runs out of credit or loses mobile coverage, the tracker cannot send live information to the remote server until communication is restored.

GPS tracking requires suitable satellite reception. Location updates may be reduced or unavailable when the vehicle is inside buildings, underground or in other locations where satellite signals are obstructed.

Remote commands require the tracker to be powered and able to communicate through the mobile network. The immobilisation function is intended for vehicle security and should only be used when it is safe to do so.

Backup battery operating time is approximate and varies with battery condition, signal strength, reporting frequency and system activity.

Ongoing SIM service and mobile network charges are the customer's responsibility after activation.
