The GEN-Y HITCH Mega Duty Drop Hitch is a heavy-duty, fully adjustable towing hitch designed for vehicles fitted with a compatible 2-inch receiver. This configuration combines the 7.5-inch drop hitch with a 50mm/70mm Versa Ball, providing two commonly used tow-ball sizes in one adjustable towing assembly.
The hitch is rated for towing capacities up to 4,500kg and a maximum tongue weight of 600kg. Four adjustable attachment positions allow the Versa Ball height to be changed to better match the coupling height of the connected trailer and help keep the trailer as level as possible while towing.
The hitch is designed and tested for use in either the drop or rise position, providing additional flexibility for towing vehicles and trailers with different coupling heights. This product is supplied unfitted.
This configuration is supplied with the GEN-Y 50mm/70mm Versa Ball. The two ball sizes allow the hitch to be used with compatible trailers fitted with either a 50mm or 70mm ball coupling.
The required ball size must match the trailer coupling and remain suitable for the trailer's loaded weight and towing application.
The 7.5-inch Mega Duty Drop Hitch provides four attachment positions. The Versa Ball mount can be repositioned by removing the retaining pin, moving the mount to the required height and securing it in the selected position.
This adjustable arrangement is useful when one vehicle is used to tow trailers with different coupling heights. Correctly matching the hitch height to the trailer helps keep the trailer as level as possible while connected.
The hitch is designed and tested for installation in either the drop or rise position. In the drop position, the Versa Ball can be positioned below the vehicle receiver to suit a lower trailer coupling. The hitch can also be inverted and used in the rise position where a higher coupling point is required.
The correct orientation and attachment position will depend on the height of the towing vehicle's receiver and the trailer coupling.

A 4,500kg hitch rating does not increase the towing capacity of the vehicle or any other towing component. Always observe the lowest applicable rating within the complete towing system.
