This heavy-duty towing package combines a solid forged ball mount with a 70mm chrome towball, providing a complete coupling solution for compatible trailers with a 70mm ball coupling.
The ball mount is rated to a maximum gross trailer weight of 4500kg and a maximum tongue weight of 450kg. Its reversible design provides either a 152mm drop or a 127mm rise, allowing the coupling height to be matched more closely to the tow vehicle and trailer.
A solid 50 x 50mm shank fits compatible 2-inch towbar receivers, while the ball platform incorporates a 32mm mounting hole designed to accept the supplied 70mm towball directly.
This product is supplied unfitted.
The ball mount is drop forged from solid steel for strength and durability under demanding towing loads.
Its one-piece construction creates a rigid connection between the towbar receiver and towball without the multiple adjustment plates, pins or sliding components used by adjustable-height ball mounts.
Both the forged ball mount and supplied 70mm towball carry a maximum gross trailer weight rating of 4500kg.
The ball mount also has a maximum tongue weight rating of 450kg.
These are maximum component ratings. The permitted towing capacity of the completed combination is determined by the lowest-rated vehicle, towbar, receiver, ball mount, towball, coupling or trailer component.

This allows the same ball mount to suit towing combinations with different receiver and trailer-coupling heights.
The trailer should sit as level as practical when loaded and connected for travel. Correct coupling height assists with trailer stability, braking and load distribution.
The included MHTB70CB towball has a 70mm ball diameter and is designed for compatible heavy-duty trailer couplings.
Its 32mm, or 1-1/4-inch, shank fits directly into the matching 32mm hole in the forged ball mount, avoiding the need for a reducing bush.
The towball complies with ADR 62/02 and has been dynamically tested through two million cycles in Australia by a certified testing laboratory.
The solid square shank is designed for compatible 50 x 50mm, or 2 x 2-inch, towbar receivers.
The receiver dimensions, insertion depth, hitch-pin position and towbar rating must be confirmed before installation.
The ball mount measures 241mm from the centre of the receiver-pin hole to the centre of the towball hole.
This dimension should be checked against the tow vehicle, rear bodywork, spare wheel, towbar and trailer coupling to ensure adequate clearance through the complete turning range.

This model provides a 152mm drop or 127mm rise. It is not an adjustable multi-position ball mount.
A receiver pin and retaining clip are not listed as included.
The 4500kg and 450kg ratings do not increase the tow vehicle or towbar’s permitted towing capacity. The lowest-rated component or legal limit within the complete towing combination must always be observed.
This package is intended for trailers with a compatible 70mm ball coupling. Confirm the receiver size, required drop or rise, coupling type, loaded trailer height and available clearance before installation.
