The GME XRS-330CTP Touring Pack combines the super-compact XRS-330C 5-watt UHF CB radio with a professional-grade controller microphone and a 970mm black elevated-feed antenna.
The compact radio body can be installed discreetly behind the dashboard or in another suitable protected location, while the controller microphone places the display, speaker and primary radio controls within easy reach of the driver.
Bluetooth connectivity provides smartphone control through the XRS Connect application, including radio configuration, creation and sharing of scan lists, access to the Australian and New Zealand registered analogue-frequency database, and software updates.
The included 6.6dBi elevated-feed antenna is ground independent and designed to provide strong all-round performance when mounted on a compatible bull bar, guard, gutter or antenna bracket.
This complete package is supplied unfitted.
The XRS-330C uses a super-compact radio chassis designed for installations where dashboard and cabin space is limited.
Because the display and operating controls are incorporated into the controller microphone, the main radio unit can be mounted discreetly behind the dashboard, beneath a console or in another protected interior location.
This arrangement provides full access to the radio without requiring a conventional full-size control panel to remain visible within the cabin.
The radio provides Australian 80-channel UHF CB operation with up to 5 watts of transmission power.
It is suitable for communication during:
Actual communication range depends on the terrain, antenna mounting position, surrounding structures, atmospheric conditions and the equipment used by the other station.
The supplied MC664B controller microphone incorporates the radio’s display, primary controls and speaker into a compact handheld unit.
The high-contrast OLED screen provides a clear, anti-glare display of channel and operating information. Its front-facing 2-watt speaker delivers strong audio output directly toward the vehicle occupants.
User-customisable buttons allow selected radio functions to be assigned for quicker access while travelling.
Bluetooth wireless technology allows the XRS-330C to connect to a compatible smartphone running the XRS Connect application.
The application provides access to compatible connected functions, including:
The radio remains fully operational from the controller microphone without requiring a smartphone for normal UHF CB communication.
The XRS platform supports software updates through the XRS Connect application. This allows compatible improvements and additional radio functions released for the platform to be installed without replacing the radio hardware.
The XRS Connect application allows scan lists to be created and arranged around the channels or receive frequencies relevant to the user.
Custom scan lists can also be shared with other compatible XRS users, simplifying the setup of radios used across touring groups, fleets or work teams.
The package includes an AE4018BK1 black elevated-feed UHF CB antenna measuring 970mm in overall length and providing 6.6dBi gain.
The elevated-feed design raises the radiating element above the antenna mounting point, helping reduce the effect of nearby vehicle bodywork and other obstructions.
This design provides strong omnidirectional performance from compatible bull-bar, fender, gutter and bracket mounting positions.
The supplied antenna has a rated gain of 6.6dBi. This higher-gain configuration concentrates more of the transmitted and received radio signal toward the horizon.
It is particularly suited to relatively flat and open terrain, including highways, regional roads, open touring routes and agricultural areas.
As with any higher-gain antenna, performance may be affected by steep hills and rapidly changing terrain. A compatible lower-gain replacement whip can be fitted to the elevated-feed base where a broader radiation pattern is preferred.
The antenna uses a ground-independent design and does not require a large conductive vehicle-body ground plane for normal operation.
This makes it suitable for compatible bull bars, mirror brackets, guard brackets and other installations where the available ground-plane area may be limited.
The elevated-feed base positions the active antenna element above the mounting surface and nearby vehicle obstructions.
This helps the antenna maintain useful performance across a variety of mounting positions, making it well suited to touring vehicles where a conventional roof-centred installation may not be practical.
The 6.6dBi antenna uses a fibreglass whip covered with black heat shrink for a clean, understated appearance.
The antenna incorporates a heavy-duty braided copper element within the whip assembly.
A black barrel-style stainless steel spring is fitted between the antenna base and whip.
The spring allows controlled movement when the antenna is exposed to vibration, rough roads, branches and other normal vehicle operating conditions, reducing the forces transferred directly into the whip and mounting point.
The antenna lead is supplied with a pre-terminated FME connector. Its compact diameter makes the cable easier to route through suitable vehicle openings than a permanently fitted full-size radio connector.
An FME-to-PL259 adaptor is included for connection to the radio after the cable has been routed through the vehicle.

This package is supplied unfitted. A vehicle-specific antenna bracket, dashboard pass-through adaptor and any additional installation components are not included unless separately specified.
The supplied LE125 power lead is intended for a compatible 12V electrical system. Installation in a vehicle with a different system voltage requires a suitable power arrangement.
The radio body must be mounted inside a suitably protected cabin location. The antenna must be secured to a compatible mounting point and positioned clear of doors, body panels and other vehicle accessories.
Communication range cannot be guaranteed and varies according to terrain, antenna position, installation quality, surrounding structures, atmospheric conditions and the equipment used by the other station.
