Finish your Fuso or Isuzu winch installation with the purpose-selected AAV4x4 Hawse Fairlead. Designed to provide an excellent fit on AAV4x4 truck winch installations, it combines heavy-duty billet aluminium construction with smooth synthetic-rope guidance and a clean, professional appearance.
The fairlead is CNC-machined from solid billet aluminium for strength without the unnecessary weight of a steel roller fairlead. Its wide, smoothly radiused rope opening supports the synthetic winch rope as it travels onto and off the drum, including during angled pulls.
A durable black anodised finish is complemented by exposed machined surfaces around the rope opening and recessed mounting holes. The engraved AAV 4X4 branding completes a fairlead developed to look right at home on an Australian Adventure Vehicles truck.

The AAV4x4 fairlead is ideally suited to compatible Fuso Canter and Isuzu NPS truck winch installations. Its mounting width and low-profile shape provide a neat fit with compatible winch cradles, bullbars and front recovery systems used by AAV4x4.
The compact design sits closely against the mounting surface, avoiding the bulky appearance of a conventional roller fairlead while providing an unobstructed path for the synthetic rope.
The fairlead is machined from solid billet aluminium rather than being produced as a hollow or lightweight cast component. This provides a rigid structure capable of supporting the winch rope as it changes direction through the fairlead opening.
Aluminium construction also provides natural corrosion resistance and keeps the fairlead lighter than a comparable steel component.
A hawse fairlead provides a fixed, smooth surface for guiding synthetic winch rope between the winch drum and the recovery point.
The internal opening features rounded edges and a generous transition radius. This helps spread contact across a larger section of the rope during angled pulls rather than forcing the rope against a sharp corner.
Maintaining a clean, smooth fairlead surface is important because scratches, burrs and embedded debris can damage synthetic rope fibres during use.
The elongated central opening allows the synthetic rope to move across the fairlead as the winch drum fills and empties. The machined upper, lower and side surfaces provide smooth guidance during both straight-line and directional pulls.
The fairlead does not increase the pulling capacity of the winch. Its role is to guide and support the rope as part of a correctly installed recovery system.
The slim profile provides a clean front-end finish while limiting how far the fairlead projects from the winch mounting surface.
Angled outer ends and smoothly machined contours give the unit a substantial appearance without unnecessary bulk, making it particularly well suited to the proportions of Fuso and Isuzu 4x4 trucks.
The main body features a black anodised finish, while the rope aperture and mounting recesses retain a contrasting machined aluminium appearance.
The front face is finished with engraved AAV 4X4 branding, creating a distinctive component that complements other AAV4x4 equipment fitted to the vehicle.
Two recessed mounting holes are positioned at each end of the fairlead. The recesses allow compatible bolt heads to sit within the front face rather than projecting prominently from the fairlead.
The mounting centres are approximately 255mm apart and are intended for compatible M12 mounting hardware.

This fairlead is intended for synthetic winch rope. It is not designed for repeated use with steel winch cable, which can mark or damage the smooth aluminium rope-guiding surfaces.
Mounting dimensions are approximate and should be checked against the vehicle’s winch cradle, bullbar or fairlead mounting plate before installation.
Mounting bolts and other installation hardware are not listed as included. All hardware must be selected and tightened to suit the winch mounting system.
Before every recovery, inspect the fairlead and synthetic rope for sharp edges, surface damage, contamination and excessive wear.
