The AAV4x4 Fuso FGB71 Rated Recovery Bull Bar 4040 is a purpose-built front protection and recovery system designed specifically for the Fuso Canter FGB71 4x4.
Developed for touring, expedition and heavy-duty off-road applications, the bar combines a lightweight alloy outer structure with a heavy-duty steel winch cradle. This construction provides the strength required around the recovery and winch mounting areas while keeping unnecessary front-end weight to a minimum.
The 4040 design incorporates dual integrated recovery points, concealed winch fairlead provision, spotlight and aerial mounts, improved cooling airflow and provision for the optional AAV4x4 LED low-beam light conversion.
This version is supplied without the optional low-beam lights fitted and is ready for a compatible lighting upgrade if required.
The bull bar uses a combination of alloy and steel rather than relying on one material throughout the complete structure.
The main outer protection structure is manufactured from alloy, helping control the amount of additional mass carried at the front of the FGB71. Behind the bar, a heavy-duty steel cradle provides the structural foundation required for the winch installation.
This combination provides an effective balance of front-end protection, recovery strength and overall vehicle weight.
The 4040 bull bar is designed to accommodate compatible high-capacity winches suitable for the size and intended use of the Fuso FGB71.
Compatible installations can include high-output truck recovery winches such as the Carbon Scout Pro 20,000lb, Runva 20,000lb and other suitable winches with compatible dimensions and mounting requirements.
The winch is positioned within the steel cradle behind the main bull bar structure, creating a clean integrated recovery system without requiring a separate external winch platform.
An integrated fairlead opening is incorporated into the bull bar to provide a clean exit path for compatible synthetic winch rope or cable.
The concealed arrangement keeps the fairlead integrated into the overall front-end design while maintaining straightforward access to the recovery system.
Dedicated recovery points are incorporated into both sides of the bull bar assembly, providing accessible front recovery locations without requiring the operator to reach underneath the truck to find a suitable attachment point.
Positioning the recovery points directly into the recovery-focused front bar design makes preparation for an off-road recovery faster and more practical, particularly in mud, sand or uneven terrain.
The 4040 bull bar is designed to accommodate the applicable AAV4x4 integrated LED low-beam lighting upgrade.
This allows the compatible low-beam conversion to be added to the bar where required without changing to a different bull bar design.
The optional LED low-beam light kit is not included with this product.
Two reinforced spotlight mounting points are incorporated into the bar, providing a secure location for compatible driving lights or other auxiliary forward lighting.
The integrated mounts are particularly useful on remote-area and expedition vehicles where long-range auxiliary lighting forms an important part of the overall vehicle setup.
Two reinforced aerial or antenna mounting points are incorporated into the bull bar for compatible UHF and communications equipment.
This provides convenient front-mounted positions for communications aerials without requiring separate accessory brackets.
The lower section of the new bar design incorporates an air-flow arrangement intended to direct air toward the FGB71 radiator and cooling system.
Maintaining effective front-end airflow is particularly important on expedition and work trucks operating at high vehicle weights, during long climbs or at low speeds in demanding off-road conditions.
The bull bar is finished in a durable textured powder coat designed to provide a tough, low-maintenance exterior suitable for touring, commercial and off-road applications.
The textured black appearance complements common FGB71 accessories including winches, driving lights, aerials and other expedition equipment.
The FGB71 is widely used as the basis for expedition trucks, motorhomes, service vehicles and remote-area touring builds. These vehicles can carry substantial body weight, fuel, water, recovery gear and touring equipment, making correctly integrated front protection and recovery equipment particularly important.
The 4040 bull bar brings the primary front-end requirements together in one purpose-designed package:
