200-Litre Replacement Fuel Capacity

The 200-litre tank provides substantial diesel storage for Fuso vehicles used for long-distance touring, remote-area travel, motorhome builds and commercial applications.

The increased capacity provides greater flexibility between fuel stops and is particularly useful when travelling through remote areas where diesel availability may be limited or widely spaced.

Slim-Line Tank Design

The tank uses a long rectangular profile designed to provide substantial fuel capacity while remaining relatively slim across the chassis.

The tank dimensions are approximately:

  • Length: 1345mm
  • Width: 533mm
  • Height: 323mm

The tank is commonly referred to as the nominal 1400mm-long 200L Fuso tank.

Heavy-Duty Steel Construction

The fuel tank is manufactured from steel for a robust truck-grade construction suitable for touring, expedition and commercial vehicle use.

A black protective exterior finish provides additional protection to the steel tank when installed along the vehicle chassis.

Internally Baffled

Internal baffling helps control the movement of diesel within the tank as the vehicle accelerates, brakes, corners or travels across uneven terrain.

This is particularly useful with a 200-litre tank, where the mass of the fuel can otherwise shift considerably as vehicle speed and direction change.

Dedicated Mounting Kit

The package includes the dedicated mounting system matched specifically to the 200-litre tank rather than relying on universal fuel-tank brackets.

The mounting kit incorporates:

  • 2 x formed lower tank-support brackets
  • 2 x long tank-retaining straps
  • Associated retaining and adjustment hardware

The formed brackets provide structural support beneath and alongside the tank, while the retaining straps secure it against movement and vibration once installed.

Lockable Fuel Cap Included

A matching lockable fuel tank cap is included with the package.

The key-operated cap helps restrict unauthorised access to the diesel supply and provides additional security against casual fuel siphoning or tampering through the filler opening.

Two matching keys are supplied, allowing one to be retained separately as a spare.

Fuel Pickup and Sender Provision

The tank is designed to accept a compatible Fuso fuel pickup and fuel-level sender arrangement.

During installation, the applicable fuel-system components are integrated with the replacement tank so the vehicle can draw fuel from the new tank and retain compatible fuel-level monitoring.

Bottom Drain Provision

A threaded drain provision is incorporated into the bottom of the tank to assist with fuel removal, maintenance or cleaning where required.

The published bottom drain thread is M30 x 1.5.

Side Bung Provisions

The tank also incorporates M16 x 1.5 threaded side bung provisions.

These provide additional connection options where required by the completed fuel-system configuration. Any unused ports remain securely sealed during installation.

Ideal for Touring and Expedition Builds

The increased fuel capacity makes this replacement tank particularly suitable for:

  • Fuso Canter expedition vehicles
  • Truck-based motorhomes
  • Remote-area touring
  • Long-distance travel
  • Commercial and service vehicles
  • Vehicles operating where refuelling locations may be widely spaced

Professional Installation by AAV4x4

This package is professionally fitted by AAV4x4 at our Brendale workshop.

Installation includes:

  • Inspection of the compatible Fuso chassis and existing fuel-tank installation
  • Removal of the existing tank where required
  • Positioning of the 200L slim-line replacement tank
  • Installation of the two dedicated support brackets
  • Installation and adjustment of the two tank-retaining straps
  • Integration of the compatible fuel pickup and sender arrangement
  • Connection of the applicable fuel plumbing
  • Connection of the tank breather arrangement
  • Installation of the matching lockable fuel cap

Important Note

This is the professionally fitted version of the 200L Fuso Canter FGB71 steel slim-line replacement fuel tank package.

The tank is commonly described by its nominal 1400mm length; its actual published length is approximately 1345mm.

Final fitment depends on the individual Fuso configuration, chassis equipment, body installation and surrounding accessories.

The additional mass of the larger fuel tank and its diesel load must be included when calculating vehicle payload, axle loading and GVM.

All tank supports, retaining straps, fuel hoses, filler connections, breather components and seals should be inspected as part of normal vehicle servicing, particularly after extended travel on rough or corrugated roads.
