The Gen-Y 5" Drop 7000kg Hitch with Versa-Ball (50mm & 70mm) is a premium heavy-duty adjustable hitch designed for operators who require maximum versatility without compromising strength. Featuring Gen-Y's interchangeable Versa-Ball, this hitch allows you to quickly switch between 50mm and 70mm tow balls, making it ideal for towing multiple trailer types with a single hitch setup.
Rated to tow up to 7,000kg with a maximum 900kg tongue weight, this hitch is engineered for demanding commercial, agricultural and recreational towing applications. The 5" drop provides multiple height adjustments, allowing trailers to be levelled correctly for improved stability, braking performance and weight distribution.
The integrated Versa-Ball provides two tow ball sizes in one convenient assembly. Simply rotate the ball mount to use either the 50mm or 70mm ball, allowing the hitch to suit a wide variety of trailers without changing ball mounts.
This makes it an excellent choice for owners who regularly alternate between caravans, horse floats, machinery trailers, agricultural equipment or commercial trailers fitted with different coupling sizes.
The adjustable hitch body provides three mounting positions within the 5" drop range, making it easy to level trailers with different drawbar heights. A correctly levelled trailer helps improve handling, braking performance and overall towing stability while reducing unnecessary stress on the tow vehicle and trailer.
Manufactured from high-strength fabricated steel, the Gen-Y Mega-Duty Hitch is designed to withstand the rigours of heavy towing. The robust construction, precision-machined components and durable powder-coated finish provide long-lasting performance in demanding operating environments.
The hitch is part of Gen-Y's interchangeable system, allowing the Versa-Ball assembly to be replaced with other compatible Gen-Y accessories such as a single ball mount, Australian Tongue or pintle lock as your towing requirements evolve.
Inspect the hitch, Versa-Ball, hitch pins and mounting hardware regularly for wear or damage. Keep all components clean and ensure fasteners remain correctly tightened. Replace any worn or damaged parts before towing.
Important: Always ensure the tow vehicle, receiver, trailer coupling and every component of the towing system are correctly rated for the intended load. The maximum towing capacity of the complete towing combination is determined by the lowest-rated component.
