The 250A MEGA Automotive Fuse is a heavy-duty bolt-down fuse designed to provide reliable overcurrent protection in high-current 12V and 24V DC electrical systems. Commonly used to protect battery cables, inverters, DC-DC chargers, winches, power distribution systems and other high-load electrical circuits, MEGA fuses are engineered to safely interrupt excessive current before damage can occur to wiring or connected equipment.
Featuring a compact bolt-on design with tin-plated copper terminals, this fuse provides a low-resistance electrical connection while offering excellent corrosion resistance in demanding automotive, marine and off-road environments.
MEGA fuses are commonly installed close to the battery or main power source to protect large cable runs and high-current electrical equipment. They are suitable for both original equipment and aftermarket electrical installations.
The MEGA fuse design incorporates a time-delay characteristic that allows it to tolerate brief inrush and surge currents commonly experienced during motor starting or inverter operation, while still providing reliable protection against sustained overloads and short circuits.
This helps reduce nuisance fuse failures without compromising protection of the electrical system.
